A little soul

"A Little Soul" (Pulp)

Hey man,
how come you treat your woman so bad?
That's not the way you do it. No, no, no..
you shouldn't do it like that.
I could show you how to do it right.
I used to practice every night on my wife now she's gone. Yeah, she's gone.

You see your mother and me
we never got along that way you see.
I'd love to help you but everybody's telling me you look like me
but please don't turn out like me.
You look like me
but you're not like me I know.
I had one, two, three, four shots of happiness.
I look like a big man but I've only got a little soul.
I only got a little soul.

Yeah, I wish I could be an example.
Wish I could say I stood up for you and
fought for what was right. But I never did.
I just wore my trenchcoat and stayed out every single night.
You think I'm joking? Well, try me. Yeah, try me. Yeah come on, try me tonight.
I did what was wrong though I knew what was right.
I've got no wisdom that I want to pass on. Just don't hang 'round here, no,
I'm telling you son. You don't wanna know me.
Oh, that's just what everybody's telling me.

& everybody's telling me you look like me but please don't turn into me.
You look like me but you're not like me I hope.
I have run away from the one thing that I ever made.
Now I only wish that I could show you - wish I could show a little soul.
Wish I could show a little soul.

Dolor

HURT
I hurt myself today
To see if I still feel
I focus on the pain
The only thing that's real

The needle tears a hole
The old familiar sting
Try to kill it all away
But I remember everything

What have I become
My sweetest friend
Everyone I know goes away
In the end

And you could have it all
My empire of dirt
I will let you down
I will make you hurt

I wear this crown of thorns
Upon my liar's chair
Full of broken thoughts
I cannot repair

Beneath the stains of time
The feelings disappear
You are someone else
I am still right here

What have I become
My sweetest friend
Everyone I know goes away
In the end

And you could have it alL
My empire of dirt
I will let you down
I will make you hurt

If I could start again
A million miles away
I would keep myself
I would find a way

Sugar Mountain rocks Madrid!

Absolutamente recomendable.

quiero volver a verte;
que cómo voy a ser lo que tu inventes;
y que no intentes, no intentes
no intentes cambiarme así:
no me inventes, y no me cuentes.

Sé muy bien que habías soñado otra cosa;
yo también soñé con algo así,
algo así como un camino de rosas
que salieron apestosas.
Y me fui, y me fui.
¿Y vengo a parar aquí
a que me conviertas en otra cosa?
No, hermosa. No, hermosa, no intentes cambiarme así.
No me inventes, y no me cuentes.

No me inventes, y no me cuentes.

Genialidad y creatividad a raudales.

Rock&Roll

DEBRIS
I left you on the debris
at the Sunday morning market
you were sorting through the odds and ends
you was looking for a bargain

I heard your footsteps at the front door
and that old familiar love song
'cause you knew you'd find me waiting there
at the top of the stairs

I wouldn't of went back
just to see how far it was
and you looked shocked to tell me
but I had to love her myself

there's more trouble at the depot
with the general workers union
and they said they'll never change a thing
well, they won't fight and their not working

oh you was my hero
hell you are my good friend
I've been there and back
and I know how far it is

but I left you on the Debris
now we both know you got no money
and I wonder what you would have done
without me hanging around

POR METER ENTRE MIS COSAS LA NARIZ
Estás aquí
no me vas a entretener

Oigo ladrar
mas no pases por aquí
frenaré con cuatro acordes la agresión.
Otra vez
cenaremos rock & roll
pero no maldeciré mi indecisión.

Y yo sé que esta noche
no me vas a encontrar
no vas a hacerme mal
no me conoces, no me conoces.
Esta noche
no me vas a encontrar
no vas a hacerme mal
no me conoces, no me conoces.

Muero por ti
que no sabes dónde vas
por meter entre mis cosas la nariz
estás tan lejos de acertar
que prefiero no tenerte junto a mí.

Y yo sé que esta noche
no me vas a encontrar
no vas a hacerme mal
no me conoces, no me conoces.
Esta noche
no me vas a encontrar
no vas a hacerme mal
no me conoces, no me conoces.

¡Salud!

Tu mirar

Grândola a tua vontade
Grândola a tua vontade
Jurei ter por companheira
À sombra duma azinheira
Que já não sabia a idade

Pimentinha

Você me pergunta pela minha paixão

Sergeant: Two civilian gentlemen to see you ... sir!
Colonel: Show them in please, sergeant.
Sergeant: Mr Dino Vercotti and Mr Luigi Vercotti. The Vercotti brothers enter. They wear Mafia suits and dark glasses.
Dino:Good morning, colonel.
Colonel : Good morning gentlemen. Now what can I do for you.
Luigi (looking round office casually): You've ... you've got a nice army base here, colonel.
Colonel: Yes.
Luigi: We wouldn't want anything to happen to it.
Colonel: What?
Dino: No, what my brother means is it would be a shame if... (he knocks something off mantel)
Colonel: Oh.
Dino: Oh sorry, colonel.
Colonel: Well don't worry about that. But please do sit down.
Luigi: No, we prefer to stand, thank you, colonel.
Colonel :All right. All right. But what do you want?
Dino: What do we want, ha ha ha.
Luigi: Ha ha ha, very good, colonel.
Dino: The colonel's a joker, Luigi.
Luigi: Explain it to the colonel, Dino.
Dino: How many tanks you got, colonel?
Colonel: About five hundred altogether.
Luigi: Five hundred! Hey?
Dino: You ought to be careful, colonel.
Colonel: We are careful, extremely careful.
Dino: 'Cos things break, don't they?
Colonel: Break?
Luigi:Well everything breaks, don't it colonel. (he breaks something on desk) Oh dear.
Dino:Oh see my brother's clumsy colonel, and when he gets unhappy he breaks things. Like say, he don't feel the army's playing fair by him, he may start breaking things, colonel.
Colonel:What is all this about?
Luigi: How many men you got here, colonel?
Colonel: Oh, er ... seven thousand infantry, six hundred artillery, and er, two divisions of paratroops.
Luigi: Paratroops, Dino.
Dino: Be a shame if someone was to set fire to them.
Colonel: Set fire to them?
Luigi: Fires happen, colonel.
Dino: Things burn.
Colonel: Look, what is all this about?
Dino: My brother and I have got a little proposition for you colonel.
Luigi: Could save you a lot of bother.
Dino: I mean you're doing all right here aren't you, colonel.
Luigi: Well suppose some of your tanks was to get broken and troops started getting lost, er, fights started breaking out during general inspection, like.
Dino: It wouldn't be good for business would it, colonel?
Colonel: Are you threatening me?
Dino: Oh, no, no, no.
Luigi: Whatever made you think that, colonel?
Dino: The colonel doesn't think we're nice people, Luigi.
Luigi: We're your buddies, colonel.
Dino: We want to look after you.
Colonel: Look after me?
Luigi: We can guarantee you that not a single armoured division will get done over for fifteen bob a week.
Colonel: No, no, no.
Luigi: Twelve and six.
Colonel: No, no, no.
Luigi: Eight and six ... five bob...

¡Salud!

Música para hoy (1)

Home is where I want to be
Pick me up and turn me round
I feel numb - born with a weak heart
I guess I must be having fun
The less we say about it the better
Make it up as we go along
Feet on the ground
Head in the sky
It's ok I know nothing's wrong . . nothing

Hi yo I got plenty of time
Hi yo you got light in your eyes
And you're standing here beside me
I love the passing of time
Never for money
Always for love
Cover up and say goodnight . . . say goodnight

Home - is where I want to be
But I guess I'm already there
I come home - she lifted up her wings
Guess that this must be the place
I can't tell one from another
Did I find you, or you find me?
There was a time
Before we were born
If someone asks, this where I'll be . . . where I'll be

Hi yo We drift in and out
Hi yo sing into my mouth
Out of all those kinds of people
You got a face with a view
I'm just an animal looking for a home
Share the same space for a minute or two
And you love me till my heart stops
Love me till I'm dead
Eyes that light up, eyes look through you
Cover up the blank spots
Hit me on the head Ah ooh

This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody) -- Talking Heads

Exactamente así es como me siento hoy.

¡Salud!
